Help! I'm getting a dress made but not sure how much fabric is needed to create my design...

Don't worry, our guideline will help you find out an estimated amount of fabric needed to create your product. Fabric amount will be increased depending on if you have choosen additional details (eg peplem, ruffles or more volume) and if you are curvier. Please note this chart is based on a uk sized model 12-14 with simple aesthetic details for a fitted garment with no additional design features so insure you add more fabric for a more detailed dress shape.

Hint: Firstly measure your fabric WIDTH to see what row you need to start at. Then scroll along the top row selecting your ideal design of choice and voila, that's how much fabric to send as a rough guide. See examples below.

Sample example 1: My fabric width is 125cm and I'm having a long sleeve dress with volume which is above my knee length= Fabric requirement needed is approx 5yd/ 4.57m

Sample example 2: My fabric width is between 110-115cm and I'm having a straight skirt to the floor. Fabric requirement needed is approx 1 5/8 yd / 194m
